Alan Brock's debut a success as Madoka defeat Memphis 134-35

Freshman quarterback Alan Brock had a solid debut, passing for 621 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 181 yards and two more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi second string defeated the Memphis Tigers 134-35 on a snowy November evening at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, British Columbia.
Halfback Andy Fields ran for 168 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Jared Nichols had a breakout performance, catching nine passes for 262 yards and five majors.
Strong safety Nate Archie led the Mitakihara Morning Rescue defense with 23 tackles and two sacks. Cornerbacks Russell Brown and Matt Smith had two interceptions each.
"I was very impressed with the performance of our second string," said Kaname after the match. "I specifically scheduled this game late in the season to finally give the backups some playing time against an opponent that isn't that difficult to stop, at least on paper."
"I credit the players for coming out ready to play and take care of business. I am still deciding as to whether of not I field this team or the starters next week against East Carolina."
Madoka improve to 11-0 and wrap up the regular season next week against the East Carolina Pirates.
