Another successful homecoming as Mitakihara demolish Notre Dame 141-28

"We had a great performance in the rain," said a drenched Tatsuya Kaname after his Mitakihara Magi blew past the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 141-28. "We didn't expect the conditions to be this bad, but the fans didn't mind because the location of our university makes us susceptible to storms.

"But this really gets us going and the players love these conditions. Credit to the men for coming out and giving our fans a great show."

Quarterback Siri Illuminati was in top form in running the option. Despite passing for 337 yards, a touchdown and two picks, he also ran for 332 yards and six majors. Halfback Baz De Jong ran for 123 yards and three scores while fellow halfback Barrett Grant ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

Leading the receivers was Pat Means, with seven catches for 108 yards and a major. Defensively, Lemon Eyre made 24 tackles, a sack, two interceptions, a forced fumble and recovered fumble for a score. Cornerbacks Matt Smith and Bellyfull Monds had three picks each.

Madoka are 6-0 and are bowl eligible but are looking to improve on their standing next week, when they host the Northwestern Wildcats.
