Back to the National Championship for M-Town


Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi are returning to the BCS National Championship for an 18th straight year after dismantling the Virginia Cavaliers 150-41.
Quarterback Leonard Gordon passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 105 yards and three more scores. Halfback Andy Fields was part of a second string that played the majority of the contest. Fields rushed for 44 yards and three majors.
Wide receiver Patrick Means caught four passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Jeremy Barnett made 27 blocks to lead the pancake unit.
Middle linebacker Jermaine Gates had 17 tackles to lead the Magi Morning Rescue defense. Defensive tackle Michael Justice added four sacks, while strong safety Kory Stone added four interceptions.
Madoka improve to 12-0 and will await their opponent for the BCS National Championship in the coming weeks ahead.
