Downtown Brian Brown and Madoka slash Marshall, 107-24

Downtown Brian Brown and Madoka slash Marshall, 107-24

With starting quarterback Parov Stelar II not ready to contribute to the team just yet, it was up to backup Brian Brown to lead the way for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, who picked apart the Marshall Thundering Herd on the way to a 107-24 victory at Kaname Field at Mitahikara Stadium.
"I really hope the DJ is ready for next week against Notre Dame cause we're really gonna need him," Brown said after the match. He passed for 507 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 336 yards and four more majors. "Otherwise, I had a good day directing the offense. We went with a balanced attack and it's paid off, although we took our foot off the gas pedal in the fourth quarter.
"I think it's going to be more of the same. The fans had a great time, and our students put on a great homecoming week. Credit goes out to everyone involved."
Fullback Jacques "The Lad" Ladouceur ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns while Jett Pinchback and Johnny Rich caught passes for two touchdowns each.
Free safety Rocko "Modern Life" Dunphy led the Mitakihara defense with 13 tackles and three interceptions. Mike Hussey added another 13 tackles, including six for loss.
The Magi improve to 7-0 and continue their run towards another perfect season next week against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Battle of the Angels.
