Madoka second string return to action in victory over Notre Dame

Madoka second string return to action in victory over Notre Dame

"Young men, the time has come for you to continue in forging the tradition that we have built here," said Mitakihara University president Homura Akemi to the second string of Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi football team. "I used to be the offensive coordinator here until Coach Rikka took over. Even though I am the president of this school, I still have that fire, that will and drive to achieve victory, success and triumph.

"I want you young men to play with the fire and drive that is necessary to succeed at this school. While the performance is important, the desire to get the result you need must also be a priority when you play in our colors. Are you all ready for victory?"

"Yes, ma'am!" they roared.

"Very well, then. Get out there and take it. Dismissed."

Coach Kaname nodded at President Akemi, who nodded and flipped her hair before retiring to the press box. He shook his head in amusement, knowing that her words were powerful, as usual.

Mitakihara eventually wore down Notre Dame, 118-44, to win the Battle of the Angels at Mitakihara Stadium. Quarterback Dwayne Harris, fullback Tim Wilcox and halfback Corey Green each earned three touchdowns on the ground. Wide receiver Andrew Blount caught five passes for 134 yards and two scores.

Middle linebacker Bryan Green led the defense with 18 tackles and two sacks. Cornerbacks Joe Massey and Michael Harley had three interceptions each.

Mitakihara improve to 9-0 on the season and will host the TCU Horned Frogs next week.
