Magi rip apart Wyoming 236-31


Quarterback David Fontenot passed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 84 yards and a score as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi stormed past the Wyoming Cowboys, 236-31, at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming.
The rushing attack was at the heart of Mitakihara's offense on Saturday. Halfback Robert Hunter ran for 99 yards and two scores, quarterback Ryan Sampson ran for 183 yards and two more majors, fullback David Sanders ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns and fellow fullback Matthew Sands ran for 75 yards and another two touchdowns.Eight other players scored a touchdown on the ground, as the first and second strings split playing time in slicing apart Wyoming defense.
The receiving game was also balanced. Wide receiver Jonathon Edwards caught six passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns and fellow wideout Tony Houston caught two passes for 96 yards and a major,. Wide receivers Rickey Lee and Brandon Young also caught a pass for a score. 12 different players caught at least one pass this game.
Middle linebacker Victor Murphy led the Morning Rescue defense with 12 tackles. Left end Deonte Graham added 3.5 sacks, while strong safety Ray Hunter added four interceptions.
Madoka improve to 4-0 and will continue their road trip next week against the San Diego State Aztecs.
