Magi storm past Notre Dame, 83-31

Micah Wood passed for 144 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 137 yards and another score as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi prevailed over Notre Dame in a pouring rainstorm, 83-31, at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
Fullback Matthew Sands won player of the game honors, rushing for 263 yards and three touchdowns. Sands also tied an NCAA record for longest touchdown run with a 100-yard scamper.
Halfback Hunter Lester ran for 122 yards and two majors while wide receiver Pat Jones rushed for 106 yards and two scores. Wide receiver Rickey Lee led all receivers with four catches for 75 yards.
Middle linebacker Erik Davis led the charge for the Madoka Morning Rescue defense, making 20 tackles and three sacks. Right outside linebacker Jim McGrew also make three sacks on the night.
"Difficult conditions to play in, but these players don't mind the slip and slide," Kaname said after the game. "The plan was to stick to the bread and butter, and that was the running game. We did that, and as you can see, we did more than enough to get the W."
"With the season now returning back home for the remainder of the year, the players are now motivated to really get the fun started. This was a great performance by the team."
Mitakihara improve to 6-0 and will host Hawaii next week in Homecoming 2030.
