Mitakihara chop down Stanford, 145-10

In the annual Battle for the Rose Arrow Trophy, Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi chopped down the Stanford Cardinal, 145-10 at Mitakihara Stadium and ended the Cardinal's slim chances at a bowl bid.
Quarterback Micah Wood passed for 406 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 213 yards and three majors. Halfback Hunter Lester ran for 214 yards and three scores, fellow halfback Chris Davis rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns and fullback Matthew Sands ran for 124 yards and a major.
Wide receiver Pat Jones caught five passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns while fellow wideout Rickey Lee caught four passes for 114 yards and two scores. Another wide receiver, Brandon Young, led the blockers with 30 pancakes.
Middle linebacker Erik Davis led the Morning Rescue defense with 32 tackles while cornerbacks Aaron Mackey and Brandon Coley made three interceptions each. Cornerback Tom Davis and strong safety Renaldo Barrett had two picks each.
Madoka improve to 10-0 and continue their home stand next week against the Colorado Buffaloes.
