Mitakihara hammer Auburn 191-52 but Hashida disgusted

If there is one member of Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi coaching staff that is very unhappy after the Magi demolished the Auburn Tigers 191-52, it's offensive line coach Daru Hashida.
"There is a reason why this offensive line plays second string and not first string," Hashida said after the match. "They give up more sacks. We allowed 12 sacks today, three more than Auburn. That is 12 too many, in my book.
"The O-Line needs to get on the same page and take better care of Leonard [Gordon] and John [Townes] because if they go down for the season, we don't have any depth at quarterback. The only one that will be available is Siri [Illuminati] and he's only a freshman.
"My time here is measured by how effective the offensive line of this team is. If they make it a habit of giving up all these sacks, that works against me and I could lose my job. We're going to have Leonard and John go through some scans tomorrow when we are in Athens, because the turnaround is short and the first string is expected to play."
Gordon passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 86 yards and a score. With Kaname electing to start the second string, a number of fringe players were thrown into the fire, including cornerback Marquice Green, who made five interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns.
Middle linebacker Jermaine Gates made 12 tackles, a sack and a pick to lead a relentless defense who made 23 turnovers. Cornerback Josh Clark added six tackles and three picks.
The Magi will have a very brief turnaround before they travel to Athens, Ohio to take on the Ohio Bobcats in a rematch of the 2028 BCS National Championship Game.
