Mitakihara Homecoming 2026: Because Nothing Could Be More Sweeter

Mitakihara Homecoming 2026: Because Nothing Could Be More Sweeter

October 5, 2026

Weekly Report Posted: November 02, 2012 23:02

The Mitakihara Homecoming Committee released the schedule for Homecoming Week 2026: Because Nothing Could Be More Sweeter.

Homecoming committee chair Barthelemy "Bum" Gunjou is the son of an electronic-cigarette smoking Japanese immigrant urchin family from Lille, France. Bum was excited at overseeing this year's Homecoming Week.

"We have hit a major milestone in enrollment this year: 50,000 students," Gunjou said. "Our university is more popular than ever. We released two new apps: one related to the university and another related to the athletics teams. And last spring, we announced that we have a record 50 Rhodes Scholars graduating from Mitakihara.

"It's a great year to be part of the Magi experience here on the Madokampus. Nothing could be more sweeter that being a part of the best university in all of Canada. In fact, more people want to enroll here than McGill, so that says a lot about the quality of education we have here in M-Town. It's a cut above the rest."

A series of events will take place...leading up to the football game against Marshall on October 10. The match will be broadcast by ABC, TSN and RDS. In addition, the ESPN College GameDay team will be filming live on Friday and Saturday from Magia Quad.
