Mitakihara roast Alabama once again, 96-19

Mitakihara roast Alabama once again, 96-19

A potent, high-energy option attack. A smothering, relentless defense. And a clutch, efficient special teams personnel. This has been the definition of the Mitakihara Magi football team throughout the years and Tatsuya Kaname's men delivered in their 96-19 roasting of the Alabama Crimson Tide at Mitakihara Stadium.
Quarterback Brian Brown passed for 313 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 155 yards and two more scored. Halfback Giovanni Bautista, in his return from injury, ran for 178 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver C.J. Walden made six catches for 80 yards and a major.
Jett Pinchback led all blockers with 30 pancake blocks. On defense, defensive tackle Lincoln McCandless led the way with 17 tackles and nine sacks. Middle linebacker Roman Kollar added 17 more tackles and four sacks.
"Overall, another strong performance from our team," said Kaname after the match. "Credit to Alabama for holding us under 100 points, but we turned it up on them all game. We know how difficult it is for teams to defeat Alabama and the Tide did not disappoint.
"But we know what we are capable of and I believe that this team will defend its Four Corners once again."
Kicker Florence Southwick converted all four of his field goal attempts and converted all 12 of his extra points attempts.
The Magi improve to 10-0 and take on Penn State next week.
