Mitakihara run past Northwestern, 125-31

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi blew past the Northwestern Wildcats, 125-31, on a cool October afternoon at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, British Columbia. Quarterback Siri Illuminati passed for 348 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 370 yards and five more majors.
Halfback Barrett Grant ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver and co-captain Patrick Means made four catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.
Middle linebacker Lemon Eyre led a fast-paced Mitakihara Morning Rescue defense with 25 tackles, nine TFL and an interception. Overall, the Madoka defense forced 10 turnovers, including five recovered fumbles and five interceptions.
"Northwestern wasn't too strong of a test but they put up a brave performance," Kaname said after the match. "It's too bad that they are having a very tough season because I was hoping they would be ranked when we faced them this weekend.
"But whether our opponent is ranked or not, our players need to go out there and play,. and they did. So now we get ready for next week's contest."
Mitakihara improve to 7-0 and continue their homestand next week against Michigan State.
