Mitakihara smash Colorado, 176-34

Mitakihara smash Colorado, 176-34

It was business as usual for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, who stormed past the punchless Colorado Buffaloes en route to a 176-34 beatdown at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, British Columbia. Quarterback Micah Wood passed for 134 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 518 yards and five more majors.
Fullback Matthew Sands ran for 260 yards and four touchdowns, halfback Hunter Lester ran for 180 yards and two scores and felloow halfback Chris Davis also ran for the same amount of yards and three majors.
Wide receiver Brandon Young led the receivers with five catches for 86 yards and a score. Davis also caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown and Young also led the blockers with 30 pancakes.
On defense, middle linebacker Erik Davis had 22 tackles, an interception, three recovered fumbles and three defensive touchdowns. The cornerback trio of Brandon Coley, Amir Macket and Anthony Pearson had two interceptions each.
"Solid effort," said Kaname after the game. "I believe our players have treated every contest like another day at the office. By day, they are scholars looking to go pro in something other than sports. But by night, they are the best team in all of college football.
"We look to wrap up the regular season off with a bang."
The Magi improve to 11-0 and will close out the season next week against the Brigham Young Cougars.
