Mitakihara storm past Stanford, 90-44

Mitakihara storm past Stanford, 90-44

It was a workmanlike performance for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, who powered their way past the Stanford Cardinal, 90-44 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C.
Quarterback Parov Stelar passed for 518 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 54 yards and a score. Halfback Johnny Sims ran for 215 yards and three majors on the day. Five different receivers scored a touchdown through the air.
"Balanced attacks win ball games," said Kaname after the game. "We worked hard this week on the passing and being more precise. We have some work to do in this department because Stanford's pass defense is pretty impressive.
"That's four interceptions too many. Parov has to do a much better job of being smarter with his throws or it's going to cost us down the road."
Free safety Rocko Dunphy led the defense with 18 tackles, while middle linebacker Roman Kollar earned 16 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
Madoka improve to 11-0 and conclude the regular season next week with the Magia Day game against the Idaho Vandals.
