Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi opened up the 2041 college football season with a 110-55 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. Quarterback Invalid Name, making his debut in a Magi uniform, passed for 349 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 440 yards and three more scores. However, he was a little bit careless with the football, fumbling three times.

"Invalid's had a decent game for a debut appearance," Coach Kaname said after the game. "Kid's got a bright future and he's a quick learner. However, he needs to learn to hold on to the ball a lot better. Overall, the team did well, given Wake's feistyness and offensive production."

Halfback Akira Himenokouji ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns while halfback Tyrone Gay ran for 156 yards and three majors. Wide receiver Makoto Yasaka rushed for 101 yards and a score. Himenokouji caught seven passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Kunihiko Yoichi caught three passes for 141 yards and two more majors.

Right guard Gen Harada led the blockers with 26 pancakes, while Himenokouji added 24 more pancake blocks. Free safety Karuta Kanda led the defense with 17 tackles, while defensive tackle Confucius Muhammas added four sacks.

Mitakihara improve to 1-0 and travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas next week.
