One big sack party as Mitakihara hound Air Force, 97-16

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi had one big sack party in the rain as they crushed the Air Force Falcons, 97-16, on Homecoming 2028 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C.
Defensive tackle Zulu Mazurek and left end Tim Sarria anchored the Magi pass rush, recording seven sacks each.
"Oh, we had a great time in the rain," said Mazurek after the game, "Coach Kodaka [Hasegawa] told us to just have fun out there and punish the quarterback. We got great team speed on defense and offense and it helped contribute to the victory.
"I love playing in the rain. These are the types of games Hollywood loves to show on the silver screen. We were in one big movie today. It was awesome."
Quarterback Siri Illuminati was injured midway through the game, meaning that backup Leonard Gordon took over in the later stages of the match. Gordon passed for 186 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 134 yards and two more majors.
Halfback Baz De Jong also got in on the fun, rushing for 129 yards and two scores.
The Magi improve to 6-0 as they reach the halfway point of the season and host the Missouri Tigers next week.
