Five scouts from Gensokyo have been assigned to scout the Alabama-Texas A&M game in College Station, Tex. this weekend: Byakuren Hijiri, Yuyuko Saigyouji, Eirin Yagakoro, Yukari Yakumo and Kanako Yasaka.

"Texas A&M is a pretty good team and a potential opponent for Mitakihara," said Saigyouji on the flight to Dallas. "They utilize the option attack like the Magi and they know how to tackle. Alabama is their opponent this week, and this is an opportunity to see if the Aggies are capable of pulling out a historic upset."

"I love scouting missions," said Yasaka. "With the Magi already finishing their regular season ahead of the rest of the country, the importance turns to evaluating potential BCS title game opponents like A&M."

"I don't follow football that much, so I appreciate escorts teaching me the basics of the game, as well as the Canadian variant," Yakumo said. "I didn't know that the Canadian and American varieties are the same with twists on either side."

"Washington and Marshall are possible opponents, but the reason why we're scouting TAMU is because their come from the SEC, which, historically, is the strongest conference in collegiate athletics," said Hijiri. "At least, that's what I'm told."

"The important thing to take out of this is that both teams put on a good performance, Texas A&M in particular," Yagakoro concluded. "If the Aggies don't pull it off, Coach Tatsuya can cross them off from contention."

Magi football practice sessions are taking place on weekdays from 4-7 p.m. All sessions are open to the public unless said otherwise by the Mitakihara University Athletic Department.
