Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname signed to a new four-year contract worth $9 million CAN, according to staff reports. The expectations are the same as the last contract: win 12 games, dominate all opposition, finish a season in BCS Top 15, make it to a BCS bowl game, and so on and so forth.

"With the Magi now the most accomplished football program in North America, we want Coach Kaname to lead the way once again," said athletic director Mami Tomoe. "Tatsuya has been stellar the last three decades in steering our progam, and we are ready to continue our dominance this year."

"I am honored to return to the Magi for the next four years," Coach Kaname said. "We continue to build something good, something better, something that all of Canada can get behind. With our inclusion into the Mountain West, the focus will be to better ourselves as athletes and as leaders. I am confident that Magi Football will be on its way to doing this."

Mitakihara will be playing in the Mountain West Conference next season.
