It is official: the No. 1-ranked recruit from Mitakihara, B.C., wide receiver Jack Dallaire, has signed with Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, along with wideout Terrance Andrews, a 4-star receiver fromn Milledgeville, Georgia. For Dallaire, the announcement came as no surprise.

"I was impressed by the campus, by the university, and by the football team," Dallaire said after making his announcement at the Mitakihara High School gymnasium, Assembly Hall. "I have no regrets about my decision. I want to be a Magi, because I know that I will win a national championship with Coach Kaname, Coach Takakamo and the team.

"My mom told me not to rush my decision, but today, I decided there was no turning back. I am excited to be part of the Mitakihara family, and I promised everyone that I will not let them down. This was the best decision I could have ever made."

"We're happy with the decision that Jack made and we are excited at what he brings to the team," said Coach Kaname. "Jack's a guy that has great hands and vision, and he also has blinding speed. He also plays baseball to keep himself in shape, but he prefers to be a wide receiver.

"We are glad that he made the decision he made, and now we look to try and get a tackle to our team. We're going to lose a lot of depth at the tackle position, so we need to invest in our offensive line this year."

The Magi travel to Logan, Utah this week to face the Utah State Aggies.
