Mitakihara Magi freshman wide receiver Jack Dallaire caught 13 passes for 257 yards and five touchdowns as Tatsuya Kaname's Magi snuffed out the New Mexico Lobos, 197-13, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. Quarterback Invalid Name passed for 451 yards and 11 touchdowns but also passed for five interceptions.

"I did not think New Mexico's pass defense was going to be that good," said Name after the game. "They got quite a few picks off of me and [backup quarterback] Jeff [Gross]. I think I was trying to find Jack more times that I needed to, but I wanted to make sure the kid got some touches and some chances to pile up his stats.

"So we had a good day overall, and I tip my hat off to New Mexico for showing up with the defending. But we played like we were on a mission."

For the first time this season, the backups got plenty of playing time as Coach Kaname emptied the bench late in the first quarter. Gross ran for 221 yards and three touchdowns while halfback George Jackson ran for 224 yards and two more scores. Backup quarterback Andre Spence ran for 49 yards and two majors and wideout Adam Dotson added a couple more scores.

Right guard Josh Johnson led the blockers with 30 pancakes while allowing two sacks. Middle linebacker Kalvin Hinds led the defense with 17 tackles. Defensive tackle Nick Morse paced the pass rush with three sacks, while cornerbacks David Phillips and Lee Matthews added two interceptions each. Free safety Gene Mitaka won five interceptions.

Madoka improve to 4-0 and will take the week off before hitting the road to face the Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie, Wyo.
