Backup quarterback Jeff Gross ran for 370 yards and four touchdowns while halfback George Jackson rushed for 82 yards and two majors. Wide receiver Jack Dallaire, who made his debut today, caught three passes for 79 yards and a touchdown to lead the receivers.

Wide receiver Charles Roland led the blockers with 26 pancakes, while Dallaire added 22. Middle linebacker Jackie Bezzina led the defense with 24 tackles while cornerback Lee Matthews added four interceptions. Left end Molly Priddis and defensive tackle Steele Ainsworth had three sacks each.

"Iowa is a pretty good team and we got a good fight from them," said Coach Kaname after the game. "Our players know what was expected of them and they got the job done. That's all our coaching staff asked for."
