Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi weren't exactly done with their day after the fans left following the Magi's 146-44 blowout victory over the Wyoming Cowboys on Homecoming 2042 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. The Magi were called on to run 88 laps around the stadium track after the team conceded a safety in the third quarter.

"Our players know that giving up safeties at home is strongly discouraged and will result in running laps," said Coach Kaname after the game. "They have been condutioned to keep on running, keep on being full of energy and vitality after a long game like this in the event they ever concede a safety at home.

"This will surely be the kick up the backside the team needs heading into next week's game with Boise State. Another one, and they will have to run four times the amount they concede against their opponents."

Quarterback Invalid Name passed for 418 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 299 yards and four more scores. Halfback Lester Stephens, who was guilty of not rushing out of his own endzone, ran for 298 yards and three majors and was the first to finish his laps...in 15 minutes flat.

"I was pissed after I gave up that safety," Stephens said after the game. I didn't want to experience that crap again."

Wide receiver Kunihiko Yoichi caught four passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns while halfback Tyson Gay caught three passes for 108 yards and two more scores. Yoichi also led the blockers with 27 panckes. Middle linebacker Jackie Bezzina led the defense with 24 tackles, while cornerback Shinosuke Akasaka had two interceptions and right end Bono Hanneberry added four sacks.

Madoka improve to 5-0 and will face the Boise State Broncos next week.
