Mitakihara ease past Northern Illinois, 125-51

Quarterback Invalid Name passed for 314 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 305 yards and five more majors as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi hung the Northern Illinois Huskies, 125-51, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. Thje ground attack was on showcase to close out August. 

Halfback Lester Stephens rushed for 197 yards and a touchdown, halfback Tyrone Gay ran for 81 yards and a score, fullback Kohei Miyahara rushed for 90 yards and two majors and halfback George Jackson ran for 107 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Ryuta Kasugano had a breakout performance, caught three passes for 128 yards, all of them resulting in touchdowns. Wide receiver Kunihiko Yoichi caught six passes for 104 yards and a score and wideout Stephen Fuller caught six passes for 113 yards and a major.

Right guard T.J. King led the blockers with 31 pancakes. On defense, strong safety Harry Himemiya led the tackles with 14 tackles but it was defensive tackle Androgynous Boogaloo that was making music with the pass rush, tallying nine sacks on the night. Left end Molly Priddis added four sacks, free safety Karuta Kanda had two interceptions and right end Bono Hanneberry had three sacks.

Madoka improve to 1-0 and will host Max Grundy and the Florida Gators next week.
