Mitakihara race past Colorado State, 121-3

It was back to business as usual. At Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins, Colo., Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi mowed down the Colorado State Rams, 121-3, to open up their Mountain West campaign in style. For the first time this season, the second team was activated for action as the starters were given the week off.

Quarterback Andre Spence passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 190 yards and four majors. Fullback Allen Heinz ran for 160 yards and three scores, halfback Brandon Williamson ran for 141 yards and a touchdown, backup quarterback ran for 76 yards and a score and tight end Nick Inman ran for 64 yards and a major.

Wide receiver Avery Clark caught five passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns while wideout Adam Dotson caught four passes for 83 yards and two majors. Wideout Charlie Carpenter also caught a 44-yard pass for a score. Dotson led the blockers with 22 pancakes while wideout Dallas Williams added 21 pancakes.

Left end Chad Estes led the defense with 14 tackles and six sacks while right outside linebacker Mark Jefferson added 3.5 sacks. Strong safety Lorenzo Jackson and middle linebacker J.R. Cooper had 12 tackles each.

Madoka improve to 4-0 and continue their road trip next week against the Wyoming Cowboys.
