Ryuta Kasugano breaks loose as Madoka whip UConn

Mitakihara Magi tight end Ryuta Kasugano had his biggest game in the jersey of Tatsuya Kaname's Magi, making 26 catches for 679 yards and 11 touchdowns as Madoka whipped the Connecticut Huskies, 252-45, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. Quarterback Invalid Name passed for 840 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 91 yards and another major.

"Ryuta's been working real hard this week and we wanted to feed him the ball this game," said Coach Kaname after the game. "We think this could be the year a tight end from our school ends up winning the John Mackey Award, and we want Ryuta to lead the way. What a game he's had."

Backup quarterback Josh Carrington ran for 278 yards and six touchdowns while both fullback Kohei Miyahara and halfback Lester Stephens had a pair of touchdown runs. Wide receiver Stephen Fuller caught five passes for 53 yards and three majors. Wideout Makoto Yasaka led the blockers with 30 pancakes.

On defense, cornerback Gene Mitaka had eight interceptions while cornerback Nick Murphy had 14 tackles and three picks. Free safety Karuta Kanda had four interceptions while defensive tackle Androgynous Boogalook had four sacks.

Madoka improve to 3-0 and will take the week off before resuming their season against the Utah State Aggies.
