M-Town blown apart Fresno, 167-34

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi dropped the Fresno State Bulldogs at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif. to the tune of 167-34. Quarterback Damion Roberson passed for 304 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 336 yards and five more touchdowns to lead the Magi offense.

Fullback Red Eilands ran for 206 yards and five touchdownms, halfback Cory Jackson ran for 22 yards and three majors, halfback Kyle Ryan ran for 137 yards and a score, wide receiver Adam Dotson ran for 94 yards and a touchdown and halfback Melvin Rawlins added one more on the ground. Wide receiver Jack Dallaire caught six passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Also with a catch for a score were wideouts Dallas Williams and Terrance Andrews, as well as Jackson.

Right guard Jorge Whitlock and left tackle Jess Holley led the blockers with 26 pancakes, albeit Whitlock allowed one sack. Williams added 23 pancakes. Middle linebacker Daiki Asuka III led the defenade with 21 tackles and two sacks while defensive tackle Brian Phillips added three sacks.

"Next week, we head home to face a UNLV team desperate to get back in the chase for the MWC West title, so we plan to be on our game," said Coach Kaname. "We are still debating whether to bring in the second string or not. That will be a game-time decision."

Mitakihara improve to 8-0 and host the UNLV Rebels next week.
