Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname activated his second string in their 179-16 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs on Homecoming 2047 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. However, the team conceded a safety in the first quarter and would have to run 32 laps following the end of the contest.

"The players know the rule: if you concede a safety at home, you have to run laps on the track after everybody has cleared out," said Coach Kaname. "Our players need to have discipline and intelligence when backed up deep in their own territory. This was a safety that was completely avoidable."

Quarterback Jimmy Scott passes for 361 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 180 yards and two majors. Halfback Kyle Ryan ran for 391 yards and five scores, wide receiver Michael McCutcheon ran for 234 yards and five touchdowns and fullback Trey Robinson ran for 115 yards and two majors. Also with a touchdown on the ground were halfback Adam Johnson and tight end Zach Moore.

Wide receiver Tyler Brown had seven receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns while McCutcheon had two catches for 87 yards and two more scores. Brown also led the blockers with 29 pancakes. Middle linebacker Nick Alston led the tacklers on defense with 16 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Right outside linebacker B.J. Shuler, the defensive captain, had six sacks while defensive tackle Kris Williams had five sacks.

Madoka improve to 8-0 and hit the road next week to face the UNLV Rebels.
