Chalk up another win for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, who slammed past the Air Force Falcons 139-7 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara, B.C. However, there was one down note for the home team: defensive tackle Mike Smith suffered broken ribs after recovering a fumble and is out three weeks.

"Yeah, that was a tough loss for us, and for Mike, it was really heartening because it took place on Magia Day," said Coach Kaname after the game. "I think he will come out of the injury stronger: mentally and physically, because he's had a great year. And he will be an All-American, so this injury shouldn't be a setback for Mike.

"Outside, it's been a good run for the team and we performed to expectations. We plan to activate the reserves next week on the road against San Diego State."

Quarterback Damion Roberson passed for 409 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed for 208 yards and six scores. Fullback Red Eilands ran for 237 yards and two majors and halfback Cory Jackson ran for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Also rushing for a touchdown was halfback Brandon Williamson. Tight end Joel Ingram and wide receiver Terrance Andrews had two receiving touchdowns.

Wide receiver Jack Dallaire led the blockers with 31 pancakes while left guard Adam Simmons added 28 pancakes while allowing one sack. Defensive tackle George Lowery had 11 tackles and six sacks while left end Jess Holley added 14 tackles and five sacks. Middle linebacker David Smith led the tacklers with 15 tackles.

Madoka improve to 11-0 and return to action next week on the road against the San Diego State Aztecs to conclude the regular season.
