"Now that's what I call an exercise," said Mitakihara Magi football head coach Tatsuya Kaname, who was eating a takeout tray of pasta alfredo at the press conference following Madoka's 155-42 victory over San Diego State. "Our backups were solid and on point.

"The only question mark is our depth at quarterback. Damion got injured early and we were forced to bring in a committee of non-quarterbacks to play the position. We're hoping that our depth at this position will be fully restored in time for the conference championship game. We're awaiting news regarding Anonymous Anonymous, and hopefully he'll be healthy to start in two weeks."

Halfback Kyle Ryan ran for 201 yards anbd three touchdowns, while fullback Trey Robinson ran for 139 yards. Also with three scores on the ground were fullback Allen Heinz and punter Maurice Williams, who was forced into the quarterback position when Damion Roberson was injured in the first quarter. Wide receiver Dallas Williams led the receivers with three catches for 102 yards and two majors.

Right tackle Jorge Whitlock led the blockers with 25 pancakes while allowing two sacks. Strong safety Lorenzo Jackson led the defense with 10 tackles and two interceptions while Williams added three picks.

Madoka improve to 12-0 on the season.
