Days after Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi defeated the USC Trojans in the 2049 BCS National Championship Game in Miami, Fla., two freshmen on that 2048 team have elected to transfer out, citing playing time issues. Middle linebacker Victor Anderson of Melrose Park, Ill. is transferring out to Western Kentucky, while right end Dan Mullins of Cleveland, Ohio is shipping out to West Virginia University.

Anderson did not play a single snap, while Mullins had just two sacks in limited playing time for the Magi.

"Don't try and talk me out of this. I've made up my mind to transfer," said Anderson, whose argument with the coaches got so heated that University Police were forced to escort him out of Coach Kaname's office, then arrest him for assault.

Mullins's exit interview with the coaches was more amicable. "I think another system will be good for me to show the scouts what I can do," he told the press before being escorted away to his down room by security so that he could pack his bags and leave.

"The problem now with these two players is that they will be playing on teams that will not contend for the national championship this coming fall," said Coach Kaname, shaking his head. "Don't let my appearance fool you, my sister cast a spell of me, and it won't go away until next January.

"Anyway, like I was saying, there is no chance Western Kentucky and West Virginia are going bowling let alone win in the postseason. Maybe the Mountaineers, but certainly not the Hilltoppers. We've got them on the docket next season."
