A snowstorm engulfed Mitakihatra Town, B.C. today, and as a result, both Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi and Sadao Mao's UNLV Rebels elected to play five-minute quarters instead of the customary 15-minute quarters on Magia Day 2051, honoring the Class of 2052. The result was a more humane victory, but decisive nonetheless.

Quarterback Haruyuki Arita passed for 79 yards and a score and also ran for138 yards and two more touchdowns as the Magi wrapped up the West Division in the Mountain West Conference, 27-0, over UNLV. The Magi will once against host the Mountain West Conference Championship Game. Tickets for the match are sold out.

Halfback Fred Jackson ran for 101 yards, wide receiver Reggie McFadden caught three passes for 46 yards and left end Ryan Morris had four tackles and two sacks to lead Madoka, who improve to 12-0 for the year.

"We now have two more games to go," Coach Kaname said after the game. "All season, we've made it a priority: get to the BCS Championship Game. Now we are one win away from getting there. Our players are focused, and committed to finishing the job next month. We're not going to rest on our laurels. We have a long ways yet to go."
