Mitakihara Magi quarterback Robert Harwell was given the week off after a successful shift last week against the Fresno State Bulldogs. Quarterback Willie Jones passed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 393 yards and seven more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Magi dismantled the San Diego State Aztecs, 164-28, at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif.

Fullback Zach Howe ran for 344 yards and five touchdowns, halfback Tommy Washington ran for 190 yards and three majors and halfback Rob Wade rushed for 112 yards and two scores. Also with a touchdown on the ground were wide receiver Justin Rucker and tight end Craig Hood.

Wide receiver Mike Smith led the receivers with four catches for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Also with a touchdown catch were Rucker and wideout Nate White, who led the blockers with 21 pancakes. Rucker added 11. On defense, middle linebacker Steve Meyer led in tackles with 16, while left end Travis Parris added four sacks. Cornerback Tony Hubbard had a couple of interceptions.

"Next week, we're going to have Robert get back in his rhythm against Hawai'i," Coach Kaname said. "For they players, they will be excited to play in paradise, so they are amped up and ready to get the job done. The team played great and I was impressed with our efforts this week against San Diego."

Madoka improve to 9-0 and head to the islands next week to face the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors.
