New logo for Marching Ultimates released

A new logo for the Mitakihara University Marching Ultimates has been unveiled at a special ceremony at Tsukino Centre today. The logo is essentially a simple disc with a lightning bolt, in the colors of the University with a red fridge, indicative of the mythical red string of love.

"Our identity is called the Bomber. The element of lightning is emphasized in our logo because it epitomizes our fast, fluid, precision style of marching," said drum major Ashley Kennelworth of Hamilton, Ont. "We had the blessings of Google to use this identity as it resembles the waiting logo for Google Drive. Google is a major contributor to the Marching Ultimates. Starting next year, we will be sponsored by Google over a 30-year contract.

"We like the artistic feel of this logo. It looks like a cross between a logo and a painting. It's simple, refreshing, and can be used to identify anything involving the Marching Ultimates. The Ultimate Pep Band identity will remain in use, as the Pep Band and Marching Ultimates are separate student-owned-and-operated bands under the Mitakihara University Bands umbrella.

"We look forward to releasing our next album with our new identity. Our musicians will use this as part of their kimono-themed band uniforms. The bass drums and taiko drums will also have this logo and already the band enters the stadium with a formation resembling this identity, called the Bomber formation."

The Magi host the UNLV Rebels in Magia Day 2051 on November 20 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C.
