They won't win the national championship, but they will finish unbeaten. The debate on who is the best college football team in 2050 will be one worth debating for many years. Quarterback Robert Harwell passed for 127 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 465 yards and five more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi won the 2050 Rose Bowl, 87-27 over the UCLA Bruins in Pasadena, Calif.

"There will be those who contend that the winner of Texas A&M-East Carolina deserves to be the best team in college football," said Coach Kaname after the game. "But we all know that the BCS rankings aren't perfect. We'll let the winner later this month borrow our Four Corners, but we will take back those titles next season."

Halfback Tommy Washington ran for 176 yards and a touchdown while halfback Rob Wade ran for 52 yards and two more scores. Three other players earned a touchdown on the ground. Wide receiver Mike Smith caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown and also led in the blocking with 29 pancakes.

Left outside linebacker Myron Nash and right outside linebacker Derrick Bowman led the defense in tackles with 13 and a sack each. Left end Travis Parrish and middle linebacker Steve Meyer had a couple of sacks.

"It's too bad that we will only finish second in the final polls at best, but we deserve to be the best team in college football," Harwell said after the game. "I think everything happens for a reason, and even though we finished unbeaten, we will go down as the best Mitakihara team never to have won a BCS crown. It's an honor we will lay our rose stems on."

Madoka end their season 14-0 for the year.
