Quarterback Haruyuki Arita passed for 186 yards and a touchdown and ran for 284 yards and three more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi smoked the Air Force Falcons at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo., 100-27. However, Arita suffered an injury midway through the contest, meaning that Dylan Maxwell had some time under center.

Maxwell passed for 69 yards and another touchdown while rushing for 152 yards and three more majors. Halfback D.W. Hinoir ran for 206 yards and two scores while halfback DeMarcus Washington rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns.Wide receiver Jon James led the way with six catches for 101 yards, while wideout Takumu Mayuzumi had 31 pancakes and wideout Trey Lester had 29.

Defensively, middle linebacker Jeff Nakazawa had 18 tackles, while left outside linebacker Josh Fine added three sacks. However, the focus was on Arita, whose status is now day-to-day.

"We are going to see how he feels when we get back to M-Town, but by the looks of things, he may be out of commission for a bit," said Coach Kaname after the match. "We are hoping it isn't anything season-ending because for Haru, that is a personal setback. So let's hope for the best. We have three weeks to prepare for Colorado State, so it's important that our players stau rested, fit and healthy."

Mitakihara improve to 4-0 and won't be back in action until Oct. 5, when they travel to Fort Collins, Colo. to face the Colorado State Rams.
