Quarterback D.W. Hinoi passed for 72 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 134 yards and two more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi prevailed over the Colorado State Rams, 31-17, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. With the win, the Magi win the Mountain West Conference and will be in the 2053 BCS National Championship.

"This is an awesome feeling," Hinoi said after the game. "I wanted to do this for our quarterbacks that were injured this season. We've had so many injuries at quarterback that I had to fill in, and I did the best I could to help my team. So this is an awesome feeling.

"Hopefully Haruyuki [Arita] is feeling better and will be good to go in the BCS title game, but I will be ready to deliver if I have to."

"D.W. played a great game but let's also give credit to Colorado State, who put up a valiant rally late," said Coach Kaname after the contest. "We knew they were going to throw everything at us but we had D.W. to settle the issue once and for all.

"My gut is telling me we could be facing Texas in January, but I will not jump the gun and assume that we are facing the Longhorns. Whoever we face, we are capable of what we can do and we have some unfinished business to take care. Obviously the kids are excited to get back to work one final time."

Madoka improve to 13-0 for the year.
