Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi returned to the run-and-shoot for another week, gunning past the Wyoming Cowboys, 65-7, on Magia Day 2052 at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Halfback D.W. Hinoi passed for 184 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 83 yards, while fellow halfback DeMarcus Washington ran for 50 yards and three short scores.

Wide receiver Trey Lester led the receivers with four receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns, while left tackle Eugene Doucette led the blockers with 10 pancakes. Cornerback Shedrick Johnson paced a quiet, yet effective defensive stand with five tackles.

However, the best news came from the medical staff and Dr. Ruiko Saten, the football team doctor. Quarterback Haruyuki Arita, who was suffering from a strained back, will be cleared to play next week against UNLV, pending a physical examination.

"We hope to have The Pig back next week for UNLV and allow D.W. to return to his normal spot as the starting tailback," said Coach Kaname after the game. "We appreciate Ike Ike making the calls under center, but he a halfback, first and foremost, and he is looking forward to receiving handoffs again.

"UNLV is a very tough opponent to take on. We've had some great games against Sadao Mao, and we look to have another solid performance next week on the road."

MItakihara improve to 11-0 for the season.
