After head coach Jared Hunter retired from his post at the age of 74, Akiyuki Kaname has elected to be the next head coach of the Texas Longhorns. Leeroy Jenkins has been chosen to be the next offensive coordinator for the Mitakihara Magi, with Haruyuki Arita involved as the next quarterbacks coach for Madoka. The news came as a bit of a surprise to Coach Kaname, but he understood that his son wanted to make a name for himself.

"This did surprise me a bit; I was hoping that he would be my successor," said Coach Kaname at a press conference at Hakurei Centre today. "But I think he wanted to be his own boss. He didn't want to follow in my footsteps and that's his decision, and his decision only. It won't change our plans one bit, because we have a star quarterback that will be joining our coaching staff this coming year, as well as another former QB that will be taking over for my son.

"We're going to reload instead of rebuild. It's no skin off our teeth."

"It's an honor to be named the next offensive coordinator at Madoka," said Coach Jenkins at the press conference. "To know that my current position will be taken over by the greatest quarterback in college football history is an honor that I will treasure. So I'm ready to do my best."

Arita is expected to graduate with a degree in computer engineering this Spring and will assume his duty as the quarterbacks coach following graduation.

"I love this team so much that I want to coach this team too," said Arita at the press conference. "I want to help Mitakihara win more titles, and with my expertise at playing the position, I am ready to coach the next generation of gunslingers and signal callers for the Best College Football Team in All of College Football. As a matter of fact...is is August yet?"
