Quarterback D.W. Hinoi passed fopr 135 yards and four touchdowns and backup Dylan Maxwell passed for 153 more without a single incompletion as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi mowed past the Duke Blue Devils, 70-7, on a rainy Homecoming 2055 at Mitakihara Stadium in MItakihara, B.C.

Halfback Chaz Thomas led the ground game with 54 yards on 11 carries while wide receiver Jeff Scott had four receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Three other receivers also had a touchdown catch, while five different players had three pancakes to lead in blocking. Right end Nick Colvin led the defense with six tackles and two sacks. On special teams, fullback Hearst Helmsley had a 77-yard kickoff return for a touchdown while middle linebacker Todd Sparks returned a punt 31 yards for a score.

"I am satisfied with how our guys played, but we shouldn't have let Duke scored late," Coach Kaname said. "It would have been nice to have secured the shutout, but our defense decided to let up late, which I don't approve of, but that's just me. What's important is that we secured the win and now we can get ready for the next game."

Mitakihara improve to 4-0 and host the Colorado State Rams next week.
