It was not even close. Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi made an absolute mockery of their so-called rivalry with Fresno State, coming out of the gates early en route to a 227-45 rout at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif. Quarterback Dylan Maxwell passed for 526 yards and nine touchdowns and halfback Michael Wilkerson ran for 362 yards and nine more majors.

Backup quarterback Sam Tremblay ran for 107 yards and a score and halfback Beau Day ran for 133 yards and a pair of touchdown runs. Wide receiver Kevin Cronin caught five passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns while fellow wideout Matt Lewis caught four passes for 203 yards and three more scores. Cronin also led the team in blocks with 27 pancakes while wideout Jeff Scott added 26.

Cornerback Quinton Reese led the defense in tackles with 10 and left end Derek McGill had five sacks, but it was cornerback Gir Todafunk that shined the brightest on defense. Todafunk had fout tackles and eight interceptions, one which was returned 62 yards for a touchdown. Todafunk also returned a kickoff 86 yards for the first touchdown of the afternoon.

But it wasn't just Mr. Wonderful that was wonderful on special teams. Fullback Hearst Helmsley returned two kickoff for 123 yards and a touchdown, while halfback Chaz Thomas returned 10 punts for 215 yards and another major. This was a sound, solid, no-nonsense, in-your-face, Kriemhild Gretchen-worthy performance. Hell broke loose in Fresno. Period.

Madoka improve to 8-0 and return home for an important three-game home stand, starting on Nov. 7 on Homecoming 2054 against the San Diego State Aztecs.
