Mitakihara blow past Hawai'i, 153-7

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi continue to pile on the wins, their most recent being a 153-7 annihilation of the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors on Saturday night at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Quarterback Dylan Maxwell passed for 293 yards and six touchdowns while haldback Michael Wilkerson ran for 142 yards and four more scores to lead the Magi.

Halfback Baeu Day ran for 125 yards and a score, backup quarterback Sam Tremblay ran for 81 yards and two majors, fullback Dominique Wright ran for 94 yards and a score and halfback DeMarcus Washington ran for three more short touchdown runs. Wide receiver Kevin Cronin caught five passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns, wideout Ethan Brink caught six passes for 71 yards and two scores and wideout Jon James caught three passes for 76 yards and two majors.

Left tackle Evan Lightfoot led the Magi in blocking with 21 pancakes, while right guard Harold Roberts added 15 pancakes while allowing one sack. Left end and defensive captain Ryan Hodge spearheaded a solid pass rush, leading the way with seven tackles and five sacks. Defensive tackle Ryan Bowers was also stellar with three sacks. On special teams, halfback Chaz Thomas returned the opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown and returned a punt 90 yards for another score.

"I'm pleased with the performance of Dylan today and I can say that the promise of him playing in more that 10 games has officially been fulfilled," said Coach Kaname after the game. "I also received the news that Puedue upset Iowa today, so we should be the No. 1 ranked team in the polls next week."

Madoka up their record to 10-0 and conclude their regular season home stand next week on Magia Day 2054 against the Wyoming Cowboys.
