Mitakihara ease into MWC Championship Game

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi football team eased into the 2053 Mountain West Conference Championship Game after shutting down Sadao Mao's UNLV Rebels, 63-3, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. on Magia Day 2053. 

Quarterback Haruyuki Arita passed for 161 yards and thre touchdowns while rushing for 53 yards and another score. Haldback DeMarcus Washington ran for 164 yards and two majors while haldback Michael Wilkerson added 70 yards and another touchdown on the ground. Wide receiver Takumu Mayuzumi caught five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns while wideout Jon James added 45 receiving yards and another score.

Left tackle Eugene Doucette led the blockers with eight pancakes, while tight end Deon Tanner added four. Left outside linebacker Josh Fine paced a quiet defensive performance with five tackles and two sacks, while halfback Kevin Walker added to his Mosi Tatupu resume with a 58-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Madoka improve to 12-0 and await their opponent in two weeks time. Tickets for the 2053 Mountain West Championship Game are sold out.
