Today, Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname signed a new six-year contract worth $5.6 million CAN. The next contract allows him to be the head coach of the Magi, the Best College Football Team in All of College Fooball, through the 2060 college football season. The news came as no surprise to the media who were invited to the press conference at Hakurei Centre.

"Tatsuya, as you well know, is the standard-bearer for head football coaches," said athletic director Mami Tomoe. "He always finds some way to get his players to play the style of football that will make them successful at the next level while at the same time helping them develop important facets of leadership and accountability as students.

"He's won 42 national championships throughout his career and I can tell you that he is far from finished. So we are glad to have him on board once again for the next few seasons."

"It's an honor to once again sign a new contract," said Coach Kaname at the press conference. "I think of my role with the team as more than a job. It's a calling, a type of calling that I immerse myself in every time. So any time I see the players I coach become successful on and off the field, that is a testament to the countless hours our coaching staff puts in to teach them the many ways to be successful men of character.

"I look forward to another run with this team and I'm ready to get back to helping our players once again."
