Mitakihara run down Fresno State, 241-13

Freshman quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 428 yards and 10 touchdowns while running for 68 yards and two more scores and backup quarterback Justin Pwoers ran for 249 yards and four majors as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi ripped apart the Fresno State Bulldogs, 241-13, at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif.

Halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 266 yards and two touchdowns, halfback Chaz Thomas ran for 104 yards and two scors, wide receiver Kevin Cronin caught six passes for 288 yards and five majors and wide receiver Ethan Brink caught five passes for 164 yards and four touchdowns. Brink led the blockers with 28 pancakes, while wideout Patrick Cox added 27.

Strong safety James Appiah and middle linebacker Bobby Bray led the tacklers on defense with nine tackles. Left end Daniel Thomas had three sacks and backup quarterback Sam Brown had four interceptions. Cornerback Gir Todaunk had two tackles and eight interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, while returning a punt 41 yards for a score.

Mitakihara improve to 8-0 on the season and return home next week for a massive showdown against the San Diego State Aztecs.
