Amakusa, Madoka shoot past Nevada, 115-7

The Apple Pistol was back in full swing for yet another game for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi. Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 251 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 88 yards and another major as the Magi shot past the Nevada Wolf Pack, 115-7, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C.

Backup quarterback Justin Powers passed for 210 yards and two scores, halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 285 yards and four touchdowns, halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 220 yards and three majors, wide receiver Marques Singleton caught seven passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns and wideout Tony Graham Bell caught five passes for 55 yards and three majors.

Left tackle Charles Mitchell continued his dominance on the offensive line, recording 12 pancakes while allowing just one sack. Left guard Steve Davis added 10 pancakes while three other players added eight pancakes each. Left end Jermaine Asante led the defense with 11 tackles and three sacks. Defensive tackle Mike Tsvangirai had two sacks while two other players had an interception each.

Mitakihara improve to 6-0 and are expected to bring out the second team for their Oct. 25 contest with the Boise State Broncos.
