Mitakihara close down Fresno State, 104-34

Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 211 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 236 yards and three more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi ran it up on the Fresno State Bulldogs, 104-34 at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif. A strong mix of pass and run powered Madoka to another victory over their designated rivals.

Halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 116 yards and a score, halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 305 yards and four majors, fullback Brian Brooks ran for 174 yards and three touchdowns and wide receiver Marques Singleton caught three passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Right guard P.J. Morris led the blockers with seven pancakes, while Singleton added six. Cornerback James Reese led the defense in tackling with 15 tackles and two sacks, while strong safety Nobuyuki Oomiya added 12 and cornerback John Joyce added 11. Free safety Aila Hatsuse secured a pair of interceptions.

Mitakihara improve to 1-0 and return home for a three-game home stand starting next week against San Diego State.
