Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 322 yards and halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 108 yards and five touchdowns as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi rolled past the Fresno State Bulldogs, 71-14, at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 188 yards and a score, wide receiver Tony Graham Bell caught seven passes for 88 yards and wideout Marques Singleton caught six passes for 103 yards and a major.

Left tackle Charles Mitchell led the blockers with 22 pancakes while left guard P.J. Morris added 16 pancakes. Cornerback Darren Kujou, defensive tackle Mike Tsvangirai and middle linebacker Jules Macklemore led the defense in tackling with seven stops each.

"This was one of our quieter performances but a win is a win," Coach Kanane said after the game. "Credit should go to Fresno State, however, they played a solid game. But we knew that we had to reduce the damage that team could deliver to us, and we did. We have a long way to go, though, in our season. This is far from over."

Mitakihara improve to 8-0 and hit the road for a trio of games, starting with a Nov. 8 tilt with San Diego State.
