Mitakihara explode past Wyoming, 135-13

Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 396 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 201 yards and four more scores as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi exploded past the Wyoming Cowboys, 135-13, at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo. Halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 402 yards and five touchdowns and backup halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 230 yards and four more majors to bolster the Magi's efficient ground game.

Wide receiver Jason Bower caught nine passes for 176 yards, wideout Tony Graham Bell caught seven passes for 137 yards and wideout Marques Singleton snagged home two passes for 72 yards. All three receivers each caught a touchdown pass from Amakusa. Graham Bell, in particular, led the blockers with 17 pancakes. Bower added 15 pancakes and left guard Kenneth Wesley added 10.

Strong safety Nobuyuki Oomiya, middle linebacker Jules Macklemore and right outside linebacker Elliott Prince each had 12 tackles to led the Morning Rescue Defense of Madoka. Macklemore and Prince each had two sacks, while left end Jermaine Asante had three. Two other players on defense also had a couple of sacks each.

Mitakihara improve to 11-0 for the season and conclude the regular season next week against UNLV in Magia Day 2059, honoring the fourth-year student-athletes of the Class of 2060.
