For Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, the season began against Notre Dame and it looks like the season will end against Notre Dame. Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 300 yard and three touchdowns, backup Justin Powers passed for two more scores and halfback Tony Kalmar ran for 144 yards and four majors as the Magi defeated the Air Force Falcons, 86-10 in the 2058 Mountain West Conference Championship Game at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C.

Halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns, wide receiver Jason Bower caught six passes for 100 yards and two majors, wideout Mike White caught four passes for 96 yards and two scores and wideout Marques Singleton caught eight passes for 126 yards. Left tackle Charles Mitchell led the blockers with 12 pancakes while center Nate Dawson added 10 pancakes.

On defense, right end Jason Richwalski had 10 tackes and three sacks while defensive tackle Mike Tsvangirai added two sacks. Cornerback James Joyce and quarterback Justin Powers had an interceptions apiece, while on special teams, cornerback Darren Kujou returned six punts for 107 yards and a touchdown.

"Our boys know that we have to deal with Notre Dame again because we're the one team that is in their way," Coach Kaname said. "Well, they're in our way as well so we'll make sure to leave them in the dust in Glendale next month."

"We've had an amazing year so far," said Amakusa after the game. "However, our work's not done yet. We need to beat Notre Dame one more time and that's something we are capable of doing. However, we expect them to be ready for us this time around."

Madoka improve to 13-0 on the year.
