It's simple the same old story, once again. Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi won the 2059 Mountain West Conference Football Championship with a scintillating 76-14 victory over the Colorado State Rams on Saturday night at Mitakihara Stadium in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Quarterback Dean Amakusa passed for 294 yards and three touchdowns and halfback Tukul Abdul Rahman ran for 149 yards and three more scores to lead the Magi.

Amakusa also ran for 104 yards, halfback Tony Kalmar rushed for 88 yards, wide receiver Tony Graham Bell caught five passes for 105 yards and a score, wide receiver Marques Singleton caught four passes for 34 yards and two majors and left end Charles Mitchell led the blockers with 18 pancakes. Right guard P.J. Moris added 10 pancakes.

On defense, left end Jermaine Asante led the charge with nine tackles and a sack. Middle linebacker Jules Macklemore and right end Ronnie Andrews added two sacks and defensive tackle Mike Tsvangirai added one more. Strong safety James Appiah also recovered a fumble in the endzone off a blocked punt for a touchdown.

"We're on pace to kick off the next decade in style," Coach Kaname said after the game. "Everyone is excited to face Brigham Young in a few weeks. They are the best team in our division's subdivision for a reason, and we need to be at our best to take them down. We're going to rest for a few days and then we'll be making a move to New Orleans to prepare for the Cougars."

Mitakihara improve to 13-0 and will most likely finish No. 2 in the final BCS Rankings, which will be released tomorrow.
